Welcome to our Cascabel Community Center

The Cascabel community is pleased to share our Community Center with visitors. This is to provide information you may find useful as guests and to provide guidelines for its use.

Please keep it clean. We don’t have anyone hired to clean, so appreciate self-cleaning guests. Please do not feed the mice: do not leave any food, even crumbs, anywhere that mice can go.

WATER: The inside water is filtered but the outside water is not. The water heater switch is inside the kitchen pantry to your left and lower than the light switch. Please be sure to turn it off when not in use. For fast hot water, there is an electric kettle on the counter.

IN AN EMERGENCY: Telephone 911. Our GPS location and physical address are posted near the telephone. There is a helipad just north of the building. A box of landing lights in an orange case is in the store/computer room on the metal shelf, approximatly waist high. Instructions are posted on the hallway wall near the outside light switch and the parking lot door.

IF YOU NEED HELP: There is a list of board members’ contact information on the bulletin board to the right of the kitchen entryway.

TELEPHONE: Our telephone # is 520-212-9999. It serves only our 212 exchange and 911. For other calls you will need your credit card.

INTERNET: The name and password are posted near the telephone.

COMMUNITY CENTER INFORMATION: Posted on the bulletin board to the right of the kitchen entryway. Instructions for using the cooler, the fireplace insert, and a check list for using the building are there.

THE OUTSIDE LIGHTS: On the south, east and north sides of the building. The switch is in the hallway, near the door to the parking lot. Please, use them only when necessary and turn them off when they are not.

TENT CAMPING: Please use only the land around the Community Center, not near the MTE building nor near the helipad. Because of the constant threat of range fires, no outside fires.

STAYING THE NIGHT INDOORS: Please be sure that the doors are closed and NOT locked.

PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT THIS IS A WANNA-BE DARK SKY COMMUNITY AND THAT THERE ARE FOLKS LIVING WITHIN VIEW AND SOUND OF THE COMMUNITY CENTER. THANK YOU.
